Recommended Reading

One of the best books on landlording that we recommend is Landlording: A Handymanual for Scrupulous Landlords and Landladies Who Do It Themselves. The author provides excellent advice on how to avoid many of the common pitfalls that befall the new or even more experienced landlord.

For real-world examples of analyzing the investment potential of a property, we recommend Analyzing Investment Properties by Andrew Tompos. The author explains how to collect data on investment properties, how to use the HP-12C financial calculator to process data, and how to interpret the data to make decisions on buying, selling or keeping an income producing property.
